Simulation Research on Cotton Stalk Cutting and Crushing Based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA and Field Experiments

In order to solve the problem of high straw content in recovered residual film and low rate qualified crushing combination with a front-mounted cotton-straw-crushing device, cutting mechanisms cotton stalks were studied based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA. The height h dip angle α fixed blade determined be 30 mm 75° through finite element analysis. On basis device design, explicit dynamic models single stalk established results analysis revealed mechanism stalk, influences edge γ front baffle h1 by using single-factor simulation tests. An = 45° 265 determined. Meanwhile, was revealed, motion states at different times. experiments influence cutter shaft’s rotational speed showed that an increase speed, removal both increased. Then, field carried out. test as follows: stubble 8.0 cm, 91.8%, clearance film-surface impurities 92.3%, 3.6%, which met working quality requirements (not less than 85%) NYT 500-2015: “Operating for straw-smashing machines”.
